Polyurethane (PU) sandwich panel: a preferred high-performance enclosure solution certified by national authorities

Time : 2026-02-25

Polyurethane (PU) sandwich panels, as the "all-round solution" in modern building envelope systems, enjoy a reputation as the "high-end insulation choice" within the industry. Their excellence lies not in the prominence of any single parameter, but in the excellent balance achieved between insulation performance, safety level, structural stability, and long-term economy.

1.Excellent insulation effect. The closed-cell structure of PU possesses excellent thermal insulation capabilities, enabling the achievement of ideal energy-saving effects with thinner board thicknesses. This not only conserves building space but also significantly reduces the long-term operational energy consumption of buildings, making it particularly suitable for places such as cold chain logistics and clean workshops where strict temperature control is required.

2. Excellent fire resistance. According to the test report from the National Building Materials Testing Center, the product meets the B1 level of flame retardant materials. This means that while effectively maintaining thermal insulation, it also provides reliable passive fire protection for buildings, balancing the two core demands of energy efficiency and safety.

3. High strength and stability. The PU core material and metal panel are bonded into a solid whole through foaming under high pressure, resulting in a board with good rigidity and resistance to deformation. Its high closed-cell structure endows the product with excellent moisture resistance and water vapor resistance, preventing insulation performance degradation caused by moisture absorption, and ensuring the stability and reliability of the system throughout its entire life cycle.

4. Whole-life cycle economy. From an investment perspective, although the initial cost of PU sandwich panels is relatively high, their excellent energy-saving benefits, extremely low maintenance requirements, and long service life often give them a competitive advantage in terms of total cost over the entire life cycle.

For projects that prioritize architectural quality, operational efficiency, and long-term value, choosing PU sandwich panels is a wise and sustainable investment.
